Description
The specimen is a portion of large bowel which contains an extensive sessile villous adenoma. The
tumour involves the circumference of the rectum and extends for 9cm. Surprisingly given the large
size and sessile outline of the lesion, histology revealed a villous adenoma with no evidence of
invasive carcinoma.
